Inequality gap in the achievement of a Level 3 qualification by the age of 19 (Formerly NI81) (LPI32)

Abstract

This indicator reports the gap in attainment of level 3 at age 19 between those young people who were in receipt of free school meals at academic age 15 and those who were not. Attainment of Level Level 3 equates to achievement of 2 or more A-levels or equivalent qualifications. Achieving Level 3 by the age of 19 increases the skills levels of the economy, and allows participation into Higher Education and higher skilled employment.
